Alex Pettyfer has admitted that he got carried away with building up his body ahead of his appearance in Magic Magic.
The 22-year-old Englishman revealed that he gained 27lbs while training for the stripper role.

The actor told Men’s Health UK that after being asked to 'put on a bit of weight' for the film, he hit the gym for weeks.
He explained: 'I started off at 169 lbs. and went up to 196 lbs. They told me I was too big, so in the end I had to take it back down to 185 lbs.'
'It was hard, particularly at the start, and I still remember not wanting to be in the gym. That’s why I don’t want to train at the moment.'

The Hertfordshire born star is engaged to Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, Riley Keough, 23.
He had also dated Emma Roberts and Dianna Agron.
Pettyfer is loaded up with film projects.
In mid 2012, it was announced that Pettyfer would star in The Butler, alongside Nicole Kidman, John Cusack, Alan Rickman, Cuba Gooding Jnr and Forest Whitaker.
He has also been cast in Diamond Dogs, although nothing is yet known about the movie, which is based on a book by Alan Watt.
