Getty Vince McMahon underwent major surgery last week to fix an issue with his spine, TMZ Sports has learned. Sources close to the WWE honcho tell us the procedure lasted over four hours. It was, however, deemed a success ... and the 77-year-old is now recovering. No word yet on what it will all mean for his future in the ring ... though McMahon's action in the squared circle has waned since his memorable appearance at Wrestlemania 38.

Redeem now Punk rock activists Pussy Riot guest starred as themselves on an early episode of the newest season of "House of Cards," but they were not impressed with how the show's producers portrayed a character based on Russian President Vladimir Putin.  In the third episode of season 3, Russian dissidents Nadezhda "Nadya" Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina of Pussy Riot — a feminist punk rock protest group whose 2012 arrest in Moscow for protesting Putin's anti-gay regime drew considerable criticism from the West — are invited to a White House dinner party as guests of honor alongside fictional Russian President Victor Petrov, presumably in an attempt to diffuse tensions.

The harp may be one of the most ancient musical instruments, but it isn't particularly prominent in jazz. Despite the mid-century emergence of innovators Dorothy Ashby and Alice Coltrane, the harp has remained on the fringe. But two contemporary performers are changing that: Brandee Younger, who explores the textual modes defined by Ashby and Coltrane, and Edmar Castañeda, a Colombian-born folkloric virtuoso.
