Police looking for a missing man Mark Barnes from Southend have found a body.
A member of the public called officers yesterday morning (Saturday 4 January) to the discovery in woods near Bullwood Approach in Hockley.
The man has been taken to hospital to be formally identified.
Police are treating his death as non-suspicious.
The family of Mark Barnes have been informed of the discovery.
